When we talk about unsafe Aluminum Wiring, we are referencing the smaller Aluminum wiring that was used in homes in the 1960′s and 1970′s. You may have been warned or have seen pictures of burnt aluminum wiring in the back of a receptacle. That does happen occasionally with older wiring.
